Darrin L. Cook

11/7/1962 – 8/31/2020

Darrin Lee Cook, age 57 of Omaha Nebraska, passed away on August 31, 2020. Darrin was born in Atlantic Iowa on November 7,1962.

Darrin was married to Michelle on October 21,1988 they were married for almost 32 years.

Darrin loved cleaning (OCD), mowing the yard, Bowling and having some down time socializing at neighbor hood bar Billy O’s. Involved in the service group COSMO- I80, fights, Juvenile Diabetes and the College World Series. Loved to gamble playing slots locally and in Vegas and playing Keno. LOVED spending time with his kids and grand kids.

Worked in the automotive industry all his life. Employer LKQ- Keystone Automotive, also worked at Johnny Baxter, Markel Ford- Route Salesman, Andy Anderson Body Shop.

Survived by wife Michelle; children Nicole Thapa, (Deep deceased), Michael Cook, Tyler Cook (McKenzie), Garret Cook (Danielle). Grandchildren Brianna Thapa, Caleb Thapa, Madden Cook, Grayson and Jaxson Cook. One Sister Donna Skow (Bob) Brothers -Rodney Cook (Donna), Gary Cook. Lots of Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and many friends.

Darrin is preceded in death by his parents Earnest W. Cook and Dorothy M. Cook and both of his Grandparents. Darrin’s final words to all, “Have a Merry Christmas”.

Survived by wife Michelle, children Nicole Thapa, Michael Cook, Tyler (MacKenzie) Cook, Garret (Danielle) Cook, grandchildren Brianna Thapa, Caleb Thapa,  Madden Cook, Grayson Cook, Jaxson Cook, family and friends.

Survived by husband, Elgin Jenny; children Wanda Glasshoff (Harry Grebe), Dean Jenny (Cindy), and Kevin Jenny (Barb); grandchildren   David Glasshoff (Violet), Ryan Jenny (Kimberly), Chad Jenny; great grandchildren  Jessica and Sean Glasshoff and Jackson and Walker Jenny; numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Kane and Madeline Bordner

Madeline was born August 8th, 1933, in Portsmouth, Iowa to Lillian and Russell Hansen. Kane was born December 8th, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio to Colette and Arnold Bordner. Madeline and Kane met at a mixers dance in Omaha, Nebraska and were united in marriage on June 18th, 1955. They resided and raised their two children born into their marriage in Omaha, Nebraska. Renne (Kevin) and Stephen (Renee) Bordner. They are also are survived by sisters: Carol(Larry) Schnack; Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and Judy(Dave) Robinson; Shelby, Iowa; 3 grandsons: Gerad, Joel, and Adam; one granddaughter, Majesty; and several nieces and nephews. And three great grandchildren: Reid; Kaleb; and Remi Dambrosia. Preceded in death by parents; brother Bernard(Bud/Maxwell) and Elizabeth Hansen; as well all of Kane’s 7 siblings. Kane passed April 20th, 2019, and Madeline February 15th, 2020, both in Columbus, Nebraska.

Ionia Dancer Age 86 of Omaha, NE passed away on August 25th.

She was born in Winchester, Arkansas on October 20, 1933 to Joe and Ionie (Tindall) Armstrong.

Ionia is preceded in death by her husband; West, Sr., children; Lucille, Velma, Clara, West, Jr. and Alonzo, siblings; Queen, Beulah, Estelle, Adlene, Zeola, Timothy, Joe and Milton.

She is survived by her daughter; Patricia Cummins-Henry (Louis, Jr.), sons; Michael and Dwayne Dancer (Brenda), many grand, great and great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was a member of Rising Star Baptist Church in Omaha, NE.

Elsie Emma Hicks Age 92 of Omaha passed away August 20th.

She was born May 31, 1928 to Theodore and Agnes (Kuhlman) Lechner in Paul, NE.

Elsie is survived by her daughter: Annette Carr, sons; Darrel Lechner, Jesse and Manuel Gonzales III, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, sister; Lorrine Hespen, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
