Joanna Lynn Skoglund

Joanna Skoglund was born and raised in Omaha, NE. She graced us with her presence from July 13, 1961 to September 6, 2020.

She found the love of her life, Junior, 30 years ago and they have been inseparable since. They shared a special kind of love that most people never find.

Her daughter describes her as loving and supportive with a mother bear attitude at times. She also describes her mother as the best grandmother a little girl could ever have. Being a grandmother to her granddaughter Blessing was her grandest joy in the last few years of her life.

Joanna was a diehard Nebraska Cornhusker football fan that never missed a chance at cheering on her Huskers. GO BIG RED!

She was an avid concert goer that loved to be front and center at rock shows. She also loved playing bingo and her favorite part was being able to yell BINGO! There was never any question where the BINGO came from, even in a packed bingo hall.

Joanna is preceded in death by her father Stanley Peniska Sr., mother Jeanette Peniska, sisters Jacqueline Peniska and Joy Peniska, sons David Skoglund and Scott Skoglund Jr.

Joanna is survived by her significant other; Junior (Colin Cronland Jr.), daughter; Jessica Skoglund (Warren Hunter, IV), granddaughter; Blessing Hunter, sister; Judith Niebur, brother; Stanley Peniska, Jr., and many nieces and nephews.
