She is preceded in death by her daughter, Antionette Faulkner Plater; parents; Thelma and William Faulkner.  She is survived by her husband of 44 years; Ira Combs, children; Jimeta Faulkner Prater (Scott), Caleb Combs (Samantha), brothers; Robert Faulkner (Brenda), Thomas Faulkner (Cynthia), Maurice Faulkner, sister; Julia Faulkner, Patricia Sheppard, grandchildren; Kaley and Kristen, great-grandchildren; Kylen and Kenzley; many nieces and nephews.

Michael A. Johnson

March 14, 1961 – May 20, 2022

Michael, the second oldest of five siblings was born March 14, 1961 in Omaha, Nebraska, to Jasper and Lillian Johnson.

Michael attended Holy Name from elementary through eighth grade. He attended North high from ninth grade through twelfth grade and graduated in 1979.

Michael was a dedicated full time employee of Millard North High School for 20+ years.

Michael was very quiet and stayed to himself. But he enjoyed spending time with family, eating, playing cards, and sports (Basketball). In his words he could “Ball better than you.”

Michael was preceded in death by grandparents Jasper Sr., and Lenzola Johnson, George Sr. and Pauline Grixby. His parents, Jasper Jr. and Lillian Johnson, and his sister Kimberly K. Johnson. Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory his step-sons Brian Watkins, and Brandon Hill. His brothers Gregory and Douglas (Denita) Johnson and Casey Anderson, his sister Janelle Johnson, all of Omaha, Nebraska. As well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11 AM at Roeder Mortuary – Ames Chapel.  There will be a visitation an hour prior from 10 – 11 AM for family and friends. Services will be livestreamed on our Roeder Mortuary – Ames Chapel Facebook page.

Gretna – Darleen is remembered as being a loving wife and mother.  Her beautiful smile and laughter would light up the room.  Darleen enjoyed shopping, motorcycle rides, baking and spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, John & Doris Vejvoda and brother, John J.
