Willie Lawrence Frazier

We are Celebrating the Life of Willie Lawrence Frazier (Papa). He was born to Velma and Henry Frazier on February 25, 1938 in Tipton County, Covington TN.

He attended Petty Grove Grade School and Frazier High School.

On July 1, 1961, Willie united in Holy Matrimony to Annie (Shirley). In 1964, they moved to Omaha, Nebraska. From this union six children were born.

Willie received Christ in his life at an early age in Covington, TN upon moving to Omaha, Willie was an active member under the leadership of Elder Frank T. Likely. Willie was one of the first members of the Gethsemane C.O.G.I.C, where Willie was an active member and helped with transportation and travel to several cities for church events and services. Willie was obedient to leadership and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Upon his arrival to Omaha Willie’s first employer was Skeets BBQ, he had various other employers before he made a career at Asarco Lead Finery, he retired after 33 years of service.

He loved fishing, grilling, making his model cars, but Most of all Papa loved Spending time with his family which was EVERYTHING to him. Everyone Willie came in contact with loved and called him Papa.

Willie was preceded in death by his wife Annie D. Frazier; His Parents Velma and Henry; Siblings; Henry Frazier Jr; Albert Lee Somerville; Callie Brooks; Mae Emma Hall; Mary Hall; Elzra Smith.

He leaves to Cherish his memory 3 sons; Willie C; James D; Corey Frazier all of Omaha; 3 Daughters; Ann C Reeves(Leslie); Bobbie J; Angela D. Frazier all of Omaha; 2 Brothers; James Frazier Brownsville TN; William Frazier Omaha, NE; 6 sisters; Ruby Dupree; Mary Jo Somerville Covington TN; Margaret Prince; Annie Bluett; Mabel Frazier; Cora Somerville all of Omaha; 9 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandson; 3 Sisters-in-Law and 1 Brother-in-Law; A host of Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Noon to 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 5th with Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M., Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th St.

Inurnment: Mt. Hope Cemetery.

June 17, 1943 ~ November 18, 2020

Lula Belle Reed was born June 17, 1943 to Odessa

Cummings and Millie Cummings in Isola, Mississippi.

Lula accepted Christ at an early age. She was an

Omaha Central High School class of 1961 graduate.

In 1963, Lula married Lawrence Reed. Their union

was blessed with a daughter, Lyla Annette Reed. Lula

devoted 45 years of dedicated service employed with Western Electric (Lucent

Technologies) in Omaha, Nebraska.

Lula was a woman blessed with a generous and loving spirit.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, who was loved by all.

On November 18, 2020, Lula Belle peacefully transitioned into eternity. Lula was

proceeded in death by her husband, Lawrence Reed, Mother, Millie Cummings, Father,

Odessa Cummings, Brothers Walter Cummings, Lawrence Cummings and Oscar

Cummings. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Lyla Annette Reed of

Hayward, California, nephews; Walter Cummings (Dawn) of Omaha, Nebraska, Derald

Cummings of Saint Paul, Minnesota, Bruce Cummings of Omaha, Nebraska and

Derrick Bratton of Omaha, Nebraska. Nieces; Tonya Cummings of Denver, Colorado

and Donna Cummings Beasley of Omaha, Nebraska as well as host of great nieces,

nephews, other relatives and countless friends.

Mother Kittie Sue Jackson

Mother Kittie Sue Jackson, Age 99 of Omaha, Nebraska.

Mother Jackson passed onto Heaven on Thursday, November 19, 2020 with her daughter Beverly at her bedside.

Kittie is survived by 3 children; Marilyn Wheeler of Florida, Timothy Wesley Jackson (Mildred), Detroit, MI. and Beverly Jackson, Omaha, NE., brother; Harvey Evans (Donna), foster nephew; Alvin D. Newsome, many grandchildren, nieces, nephew family and friends.

She was a member of New Beginnings Community Baptist Church.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, November 30th with Visitation 1hr prior, Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave.

Kittie will be cremated after her service and will be buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

Arthur Lyle

5/26/1941 – 11/23/2020

Arthur (Buck) Lyle, age 79 was called home peacefully to be with His Heavenly Father on November 23, 2020 at 3:45 PM.

Arthur was born in Elaine, Arkansas to Corstella Lee and Willie Lyle. At an early age, Arthur learned the importance of hard work and searched for better opportunities that would later benefit his own family. On June 28, 1959, he married the love of his life and best friend, Marva. Together they relocated their family to Omaha, NE in 1962.

God blessed Arthur with the spirit of generosity; he would sacrifice his own needs to give to others; he would give you the shirt off of his back; he gave from the heart and looked for nothing in return.

Arthur had an infectious laughter and a mild manner personality, he was known to touch many lives where ever he traveled. He was a loving, caring family man. He loved to share his wisdom while offering some great advice. He often told jokes to brighten up any mood.

Arthur accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.

Throughout his lifetime, Arthur had several nicknames: Wild Bill, Buck and Bronking Bull. However, Buck stuck with him for the remainder of his life. He was also a member of The Ebony Wheels Motorcycle Club and was loved and respected in the community.

Arthur had a love for life and he put up a great fight. I love you Daddy and you will be truly missed.

Arthur is preceded in death by his devoted wife Marva, parents, Corstella Gould and Willie Lyle, brother and sister-n-law, Johnny (Teresa) Gould, loving stepson, Lee Highley and beloved daughter, Evelyn Lyle.

Eric Larue Peterson

Eric Peterson passed away on November 22, 2020. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Garth and Esther Honey Peterson on October 9, 1947. When the family settled in Omaha, he spent fun filled summers with family in Hastings, Nebraska. There he discovered his passion for learning all he could about his ancestors, the Honey’s of Sutton. Twenty four years ago, Eric married Connie Elliott. They embarked on a journey that took them to live in Massachusetts before returning to Nebraska. While in the Northeast, Eric became an accomplished furniture maker. He will be remembered for his love of fast cars, road trips, and his ability to understand numbers and make sense of the stock market. Once you met Eric, you were his friend forever. He is survived by his wife, Connie, his children, Callie (Mike) and Brander (Lindsay), his grandchildren, Caroline, Brooke, Max, Brant, and Jovin, his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, and his sister Garthanne de Ocampo (Eduardo).

Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Nebraska Medical Center Pediatric Cancer Research.

Judith Ann Johnson Kirchhoff was born May 7, 1940 to William and Delores Rietzke. She is preceded in death by husband Bruce A. Kirchhoff and daughter Rebecca A. Kirchhoff and brother William Rietzke.

Judy is survived by her brother Jon Thomas (Mary) Rietzke , Sister MaryLee Rietzke,, sister in law Teri (Les) Skaff, brother in law Marvin (Theresa) Kirchhoff .  Children W. Garrett  (Nancy) Lane,  David (Julie) Johnson, Sandra (Paul) Garrett , Laurie (George) Moynihan, Vicki (Curt) Martin, Holly (David) Stichka, Amy (Mark) Weinheimer.  Grandchildren Darian Kirchhoff, Robert Blandford, Ben Rosen, Michael Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Emily Lane, Elliott Lane, Johanna Moynihan, Emmett Moynihan, Ben Weinheimer, Gwendolyn Weinheimer, and 6 great grandchildren

Judy receive a master’s degree from the University of Illinois and a PHD in Political Science from the University of Maryland.  She was a professor until retiring in 2014.

Judy met her husband, Bruce at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he was a Professor.  They married on August 5, 1977.

Judy enjoyed reading challenging things that she could contemplate, decipher and give her opinion.  She enjoyed music, the symphony and Neil Diamond.

She loved the tradition our family has called “Shore Week”, all the family, 40 plus, would gather together in Ocean City, NJ annually.

She loved the music and theaters in NYC.  Loved to travel especially to Ireland, Europe, and Sweden including seeing the Northern lights.
