Dianne L. Fait

9/19/1937 – 11/14/2020

Dianne Fait was a woman who lived by every word of God. Tender-hearted and a woman of conviction, she stood at all costs by what she believed.

She was born on September 19, 1937, and grew up in Mountain Lake, MN, the older child of Jacob and Susan Nickel, a German Mennonite couple.  She loved her close church community, and upon graduation, moved to Omaha, NE to attend Grace Bible Institute.  There she met Richard Fait, and they were married in 1958.  They had five children together.  When her children were grown, she returned to the kind of work she loved the best, and took a foster child.  This girl, whom she loved and adopted, became the center and ministry of Dianne’s life.  Dianne and her daughter moved to Cincinnati, OH, where she worked at Landmark church, cleaning, cooking, and working in the day care.  At every opportunity, she poured her life into being available for her daughter and her daughter’s children, who were the love and joy and meaning of her life. In later years, she spent much of her time in solitary prayer and Bible study, being content with the closeness of God.

Dianne passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 83.  She is survived by her brother Rodney Nickel (Mary Alice) of Windom, MN, and her six children: Dean (Chris) Fait, Rachel (Rich) Slobotski, Susan (Mark) Ludwig, Greg (Tonia) Fait, Jeanine (Leonard) Gonzales, and Jackie Fait, 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grand child.
