Margaret A. Wagner (Marge)

Gretna – Margaret A. (Marge) Wagner passed away on February 15, 2022.  Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Wagner; her parents Francis & Margaret Hintz; and brother Donald (Norma) Hintz.  Marge is survived by her son Scott (Lori) Wagner of Gretna, son Steve (Susan) Wagner of Gretna, son Greg (Polly) Wagner of Omaha, grandchildren Reid (Jamie) Wagner, Jack Wagner, Sydney Wagner, Jessie Wagner, Mandi (Tyrell) Galloway, Seth Wagner, Zach (Kristin) Wagner, Micah Wagner, Emma (Tyler) Nichols, Noah (Mary) Wagner and five great-grandchildren.  She was also survived by her brother Gerald (Marilyn) Hintz of Gretna. Marge lived her entire life in Gretna, NE where she was a very active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.  She fought a hard battle with Alzheimer’s Disease over the past 4 years. Many thanks to the care givers at the Hillcrest SilverRidge Memory Care Cottage in Gretna. Marge had many friends that she cared about dearly and was very devoted to her family.  Her smile was infectious, and her kindness was felt by many whom she touched.

 

Visitation Monday 5 – 6:30 PM with Rosary 6:30 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Tuesday (2/22/22) at St. Patrick Catholic Church 508 Angus St. Gretna. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.  Memorials Alzheimer’s Association Nebraska Chapter or St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

Beulah Bauermeister

March 9, 1930 – February 15, 2022

Of Omaha, NE, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 15. She was surrounded by her daughters CB Schultz, Nancy Elias, and Marcia Anderson and many loved ones. Beulah was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Edna Scheneman, brother-in-law Fred Bauermeister, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by husband Kuno Bauermeister. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 19 from 1-2 PM at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 North 108thStreet, Omaha, NE 68164, with a service to follow at 2:00 PM.

Lois Ann Lessmann

Lois attended country school and graduated from Wayne High School in 1949. She married Dale R. Lessmann, of Wayne, NE on June 23, 1954, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Wakefield, NE, Pastor T. H. Buehner presiding. Lois and Dale lived in Wayne for most of their married years until Dale passed away on July 11, 1986. Lois moved Omaha in 1992. She was active in politics, supporting candidates running for the Senate, Governor, and Mayor. In 2016 she was voted into the Nebraska Poll Worker’s Hall of Fame in recognition of more than 20 years of service as a poll worker. Lois was also interested in sports including golf, NASCAR, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Last but not least, Lois was active in her church which included singing in choir, making reminder calls, assisting in the preparation of the church bulletins and newsletters, and correcting tests for the prison ministries. She was a hard worker who loved a challenge. Lois had the travel bug her entire life starting with trips with her sister Neva in the 1940s to visit their older siblings in Chicago. She traveled by car across the United States with her family of five, (which included packing for them all). And later in life she traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Germany, Japan, and Singapore. Lois is survived by her three children; David (Hiromi) Lessmann (Overland Park, KS), Terry Lessmann (Omaha, NE), and Lori Lessmann (Allen, TX). She is preceded in death by her brother, Wilbert (Bill) O. Wieland, and sisters Helen K. Bergens, Vera M. Finke, and Neva E. Echtenkamp.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on February 15, 2022 at Roeder Mortuary in Omaha. Funeral services will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Omaha on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 10:30 AM followed by lunch at the church.  The service will be live streamed at https://gethsemanelutheran.com.  Later that day, a graveside service will be held around 3:00 PM, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wakefield, NE where Lois will be laid to rest alongside her husband Dale.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

LaTesha Shree Ellis

My Life Story

LaTesha Shree Ellis the oldest of two daughters was born on September 27, 1982 in Salina, Kansas to Arlene and Victor Ellis.

She attended Miller Park and Sherman Elementary Schools.  She also attended Mars Middle School and was a graduate of Omaha South High School in 2001.

LaTesha was a committed and dedicated to Early Childhood Education.

She loved spending time with her children, her family especially her sister LaTasha with whom her bond was unbreakable.  She had a special love for her best friends Lakeisha Clark, Jalanda Evette and Raymita Anderson.  Her laugh was contagious and could be heard from miles away.

LaTesha was preceded in death by her grandparents. George and Pauline Grixby, grandmother, Judy Gardner and grandfather, Earol McCabe.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Mario Kirk; children, LaZaeh, Cordae, Cormarion, Carmello and Camario Kirk; parents, Arlene and Victor Ellis; sister, LaTasha Ellis; brother, Alec Ellis; nephews, Corryon Ellis and Harlem Deal all of Omaha, Nebraska; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022, Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 16, 2022 also at the mortuary.

Edward “Ted” Brown, Sr.

Trudie Jean Craven

Trudie Jean Craven Age 72 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on February 10, 2022.

She was born on September 20, 1949 in Blair, Nebraska to A. Russell and Delores (Mueller) Jensen.

She graduated from Tekamah High School in 1967 and Nebraska Methodist College of Nursing in 1970.  Trudie enjoyed   catching up with her friends on Facebook, going to the beach in Florida and  attending her Bible studies. She led many people to the Lord as a Christian medical missionary going to various countries including Ghana, Paraguay, Peru and Mexico.  She worked as a Registered Nurse on the oncology and Medical/Surgical floors at Methodist Hospital in Nebraska and at Conway Medical Center in Arkansas.  Trudie received the Nurse of the Year Award at Conway Regional Medical Center in the late 1990’s.

Trudie is survived by her daughter, Kelly Armstrong (Jason); son, Ryan Craven (Rebekah); grandchildren, River, Joslyn and Vincent; brother, Rusty Jensen (Marilee); sister, Beth Kjeldgaard (John); brother-in-law, Gary Micek; nieces; nephews; family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A. Russell and Delores Jensen; sister, Cheri Micek and husband, Charles.

Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 AM Monday, February 14, 2022 with a Celebration of her life at 11:00 AM at Grace Fellowship Church, 1211 S. 211th St, Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Interment: Calvary Cemetery, 7710 West Center Rd., Omaha, Nebraska
