Walter Henry Kessler Jr. (Hank)

Walter Henry (Hank) Kessler died peacefully in his home on May 18th 2021. Hank was 87 years old. He is survived by his loving wife Lynda Kessler, daughter Debb(Michael) Andersen, son Doug(Lori)Kessler, and step-son Robert Davis. Grandchildren Katy Kessler, Todd Keeling(Hannah Bryant), Becky Kessler, Dana (Doni) Keeling, Loranda Stuart, Joe (Ashley) Kessler and Skylor (Catherine) Stuart, ten great grand-children that were precious to him as well as many beloved nephews and nieces who he loved to tease, Sister Marie(Ivan)Loy. Frances(Bill)Logan, Connie(Larry)Hall and brother Robert(Gloria) Kessler, Hank was preceded in death by his first wife Marilyn Kessler, sisters Ruth Rollman, Delores Dunker, Sylvia Corum, and brothers Ralph Kessler and Ronald Kessler. He was born outside of Shellsville Village, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania, the first son of ten children. He graduated from North Lebanon County High School in 1953. Hank was always known to be a hard worker. He diversified and transformed his occupation many times during his lifetime. Hank enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Lowry Air Force base, Denver Colorado where he met his devoted wife of 62 years Marilyn. Both from farming families, the couple soon moved to a farm near Corning Iowa. Later Hank made his way to Omaha. Using his Air Force training he soon got into the electronics business. He worked behind the camera and in the control room at KETV, after many years of work at ESU 3 supporting Nebraska schools with multi-media implementation and repair he retired. Hank always had a side gig. He built a business of Hank’s TV, he was a licensed realtor and loved being an auctioneer, especially when he was in the ring. He had a talent for fixing anything and everything. A pastime that kept him busy even into
his last days. Hank always had an easy smile and his quick wit was sure to add laughter to the conversation. He was involved in his church. In later years he was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Hank married Lynda in the autumn years of his life. The two made the most of every cherished day together. Hank will be deeply missed by Lynda, his family and those who called him friend.
Visitation: Tuesday, May 25 th 4pm- 7pm at Roeder Mortuary, located at 2727 N. 108 th Street, Omaha. An Eastern Star Service will begin at 6:30pm.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday May 26 th at 10am at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, located at 15050
West Maple Road, Omaha. A luncheon will be given following the service.
