Stewart Dean Green, 59 of Omaha, NE passed away on October 17, 2020 at Nebraska Medicine with his family by his side.  Stewart was born October 6, 1961 to the late Sandra Rench and Charles Green.

Stewart grew up in Sac County and ended his school career in the 9th grade.  He was an intelligent fellow participating in Boy Scouts and had his own paper route, but found himself bored with school and left to pursue other endeavors. Stewart, unfortunately, at the young age of 18 had a car accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Seizures affected his ability to work and he found that he needed assistance with his daily cares.  This is when he began to form a love for coffee.

In the early 1990s Stewart moved to Kansas City, MO to live with his Uncle Ron Auen. While there he was known by the “ladies” in the neighborhood hair salon.  They would have Stewart sweep their floor in exchange for hair care (and coffee). Stewart had many a perm through the years.

In 2011 Stewart became dialysis dependent and most of his time was spent in a chair three days a week. His health began to decline and in 2018 he moved to Omaha, NE to be closer to family.

Once here Stewart was able to make many memories such as visits to the zoo, movies, dance recitals, and Sunday dinners. In the fall, he and his Aunt Debbie watched many football games, while auntie Peggy prepared dinner.

While living in Omaha his sisters again realized what a practical joker he could be, jump scares were a favorite of Stewart. Stewart also loved to have control of the radio station and although unable to drive, he would tell you how.

Another favorite for Stewart these past two years was Scooters blended carmelicious coffee drinks. Several times a week Stewart was known to ask one of his sisters to “Please” bring him one. This was one of his small joys in life. Stewart also enjoyed his weekly telephone visits with his Uncle Larry, Uncle Lawrence, friend Jerry Buse and his father Charles.

Those left here to miss him are his sisters Charlene Green of Omaha, NE, Pamela King of Carroll IA, Connie Radke of Omaha NE, Tonia(Scott) Winterhof of Galva, IA, his father Charles (Ruth) Green of Lake View, and many extended family and friends.

Stewart was preceded in death by his mother Sandra, infant brother, maternal grandmother Ruth Anna Auen, paternal grandparents Edward and Glendora Green, Uncle Dennis Green, Aunt Janice Wehde, Patty Auen and Eunice Green, and Cousin Matthew Wehde.

Memorial Services to be held at a later date.
