Linette Lindsay

Glenn, Sr. and Verna Lindsay were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Linette Lindsay on December 19, 1976 in Papillion, Nebraska.  Linette attended Lothrop Elementary, Morton Middle School, Burke High School and graduated from Father Flanagan High School in 1995.  She continued her education and received her license for a Certified Nursing Assistant.

Linette was a smart, hard-working, loving, sweet and caring woman.  She worked various jobs; telemarketing at First Data and she was a caregiver.  Her CNA license reflected her big heart for others and their well-being.  She also worked in the cafeteria at North High School.  She always looked forward to seeing and talking to the students and if they didn’t have lunch money, Linette would go out of her way and pay for their lunch.

Linette’s most fulfilled job was being an exceptional mother to her two girls.  She was an amazing mom and enjoyed bonding time with her children, cooking, reading good novels, shopping, birthdays, holidays ( especially Christmas), good music, dancing, singing and visiting with family and friends.  She loved when it was time to travel to visit with family from out of town for gatherings.  She loved telling her jokes, talking on the phone, going out to eat and taking pictures that you didn’t know she was taking.  We called her “Paparazzi”.

Linette would often let it be known to everyone that she was very proud of her daughters, Daizhana and Breonna.  She truly loved her family and extended family members.  Linette got lots of enjoyment out of doing nice things and helping others.  She knew everyone in the family birthdays and would acknowledge all the family members on their birthdays.  She even knew when it was our friend’s birthdays and would acknowledge them also.

She is the youngest sibling and sometimes would act like she was their sibling’s mother and their parent’s mother.  The father would say “My God; child, you act like you’re my mother” and her response would be, “Because you don’t listen”.  Linette was a phenomenal mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend.

Linette Lindsay was preceded in death by her loving parents; Glenn James Lindsay, Sr. and Verna Louise Lindsay, her grandparents; James and Marie Lindsay and Fred and Altha Swan and her brother-in-law; Houston McKell III.

Linette’s spirit will be cherished through her loving survivors, daughters; Daizhana Lindsay and Breonna Lindsay-McQueen, siblings; Leo Newson, Jr., Leona Newson, Lenora Brass (Bobby), Tiwana Robinson (George) and Glenn Lindsay, Jr., nephews and nieces; Terrell Knight, Tasha Fraser (Joseph), Lester Lewis III, Lamar Newson, Keonna Lindsay, BreNae McKell, Collin Lindsay, Llyia McKell, Keyaira McKell, Houston McKell IV, great nephews; Edwin Cintron III, Jail McKell and Tylan Walker, extended family; Grady McQueen, Betty Scott, Malia McQueen, Aliaunna and Antoine Moten, special sisters; Elizabeth Fudge-Tazanu and Anita Thomas.
