Judy Mae (Johnson) Hammermeister

Judy was born to Wilbur R. and Fannie (Reitz) Johnson in Rushville, Nebraska.
Judy graduated from Rushville High School in May 1964 and then moved to Rapid City, South Dakota that fall to attend National College of Business for 2 years.
She worked in Rapid City then moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming and worked for the Game and Parks for several years. Judy was married on April 18, 1970 and they moved to Yakima, Washington and then to Tacoma, Washington. Judy worked for title insurance companies in both cities. In 2000, they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska so Judy could be closer to her family. Judy was manager of Advantage Title Services. She retired and moved to Gretna, Nebraska in 2012 where she worked remotely part-time for Advantage Title. Judy enjoyed traveling with family taking many cruises and bus trips throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law; Jerry Greenwood and ex-husband; Dennis.
Judy is survived by her brothers and sisters, Janice Greenwood, Marlene Hoffman (Denny), Ross Johnson (Dorothy), Gerald Johnson (Joyce) and Virginia Kearns and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Roeder Mortuary, 11710 Standing Stone Drive.
An Inurnment of Judy’s cremains will take place in the spring of 2022 at Fairview Cemetery in Rushville, Nebraska.
Memorials maybe directed in Judy’s memory to a charity of your choice.
