John “Jack” W. Miller

1931 – 2020

John “Jack” William Miller age 88 of Omaha, NE passed away January 24, 2020. He was a nursing home administrator for over 40 years and in retirement he was an Avis employee for over 20 years. He loved camping, painting, family time, and fun with friends and neighbors.

Jack was born on December 23, 1931 in Vincennes, Indiana son of Burman and Martha (Baur) Miller. On June 4, 1955 he married Hilma Torrens.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Hilma, his daughters Judy (late Jack) Crider, Cynthia (Michael) Loncar, and Beverly (Joseph III) Hanson. Also surviving are six grandchildren and two great grandsons and other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and sisters in law; Burman Jr., Charles (Marie) and Mel (Micki) Miller, son in law; Jack Crider and niece; Debbie Miller Eggebeen.

Funeral services will be held at St. Leo Catholic Church, where he was a longtime member, Saturday February 1, 2020 at 10am. Visitation will be held at Roeder Mortuary 2727 N. 108th St. Friday, January 31st from 5 – 7 pm with Wake Service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Mass: 10:00 am Saturday, February 1st, St. Leo Catholic Church, 1920 N. 102nd St.

Private family inurnment at a later date at Maxwell Cemetery, Oakdale, IL.
