Finis Lucas, Jr.

Mr. L, a lifelong resident of Omaha, was born on February 24, 1924, in Mexico, Missouri, born to Finis Lucas, Sr., and Fannie Bell Lucas, he departed this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

He served during WWII in 1944. Worked as a successful business owner and entrepreneur his entire life.

A loving Father, Grandfather, and Husband, Mr. L, enjoyed spending time watching sports, spending time with his family, and his dog Kato.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Wife, Frances, Children: Finis Leroy Lucas (Sharon), Bobby Lucas (Andrea), Finis Lucas III, Maverick Rushing (Karnetta), Marilyn Lucas McGary (Phillip), Barbara Lucas, and Fannie Mae Lucas Burnett all of Omaha, Jerome Thompson Lucas (Ada), Columbia, MO, Salandra Ford (Brian) Tulsa, OK, and Tron Smith (Lora) Kansas City, MO. A host of grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and friends. And special friend: J.R. Collins.

Mr. L was preceded in death by his Parents: Finis Lucas, Fannie Bell Lucas, Brother: Orville Lucas, Children: Alfred Harris, and Shari Lucas. Grandchildren: Kevin Lucas, LaDell Lucas, Zach Lucas, Julius Lucas, and Angel McGary Evans.

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, February 10, 2022 Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, February 11, 2022 also at the mortuary

Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd. with Military Honors.
