Pearl M. Griffin

The beloved Pearl was born on March 4, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee to Myles Davis Lofton and Mamie D. Lofton. Pearl attended Hospon Bayous Elementary School in Tutwiler, Mississippi. She then attended West District High School Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. Pearl came to Omaha, Nebraska not soon after high school. She worked at Offutt Air force Base for several years. Then moved on to becoming the best seamstress working for a various companies. She later pursued her passion for cooking which she loved and worked for several different companies (Catholic Charities, Campus for Hope to name a few) and ended her career at Camelot Community Center. Pearl was best known for her “sharp dressing” she was a fashionista and was a “great friend” to all she encountered she was loved and will be missed.

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; Myles Lofton and Mamie D. Lofton, 2 special grandsons; Aaron W. Lofton & Kevin L. Lofton (mother Valincia).

She leaves to cherish her memory husband; James I. Griffin, 3 children; Roscoe Lofton (Kim), Valincia Lofton Duncan and Brian W. Curtis, 2 brothers; Jerry Lofton, Elkhart, Indiana and Joe Boyd Fairview, Illinois, 5 sisters; Anne Cheryl Daniels, San Antonio, Texas, Catherine (Willie) Ford, Clarkdale, Mississippi, Franklin (Saint) Lewis, Thelma Diggs both of Fairview, Illinois, and Barbara Lewis, Killeen, Texas, 2 aunts; Viola Hardy Tutwiler, Mississippi and Annie Davis Memphis, Tennessee, grandchildren; Taffi Reese, Andre Boyd Kiantae, Kimhani (Roscoe Lofton), Eric, Raven, Evan (Valincia Lofton Duncan) Brian, Brandon,Khysia, Khyla, Khalil, Boston (Brian Curtis), great grandchildren; Ariana Gray (Aaron Lofton), Eric Lofton, Jr. (Eric Lofton, Sr.), RayMir and LaTaurus Valentine (Raven Lofton), Miricle Boyd (Andre Boyd) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Eugene Bradley Henry

Eugene B. Henry was born February 1, 1958 in Omaha, Ne to Joseph Henry and Lillian Redo’ Henry. Eugene’s mother and father preceded him in death along with 5 siblings; Betty Henry’ Clift, Josephine Henry’ Johnson, Julius Henry, Ophelia Henry’ Woods and Joseph Henry II, daughter; Audrey Henry’ Lakes.

Eugene graduated form Omaha Tech High School in 1957, after graduation Eugene joined the Marine Core until January 1961. In 1979 Eugene gave his life to Christ and was baptized at Sharon Seven Day Adventist Church. He enjoyed spending time reading the bible, watching sports and spending time with family. He leaves to honor his memory; sister Elverta Brown, son; Scott Eugene Henry and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Friday, February12th with Visitation 1 hour prior at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave.

Interment with Military Honors 1:00 PM Friday, February 12th at Omaha National Cemetery, 14250 Schram Rd.

Vern L. Iverson

06/30/1935 – 02/08/2021

Omaha – Preceded in death by parents Emmet and Connie Iverson; brother Paul Bierly. Survived by wife Nancy Iverson; son Tim (Tammie) Iverson; brothers Ernie and Mark Iverson; sister Kathy Iverson; grandchildren Timothy Iverson, II, Alfonso (Aly) Garcia, Chris (Ashley) Garcia, Maria Garcia (Rafa Magana); great-grandchildren Camila Magana, Ari and Ace Garcia; nephews Dave and Stewart McDunn. Vern was an avid fisherman and talented woodworker and handyman. Visitation Sunday 3-5 PM with Rosary at 5 PM at Roeder Mortuary. Funeral Mass 10 AM Monday (2/15/2021) at St. James Catholic Church, 9025 Larimore Ave. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

Denise Williams

In loving memory of Denise Williams . We are deeply saddened to announce her passing on February 5, 2021.  She will live forever in the hearts of her mother Julia Faulkner, daughters Michelle, Jimeta, and her granddaughters Tayler, Tarryn, Kayle, and Kristen. Alan J. Jensen

12/09/1960 – 02/07/2021

Omaha – Preceded in death by parents Sarah and Arnold. Survived by wife Mary; sons Andy and Ben; daughter Sarah; brothers Chris (Denise) and Jim; friend John Swoboda. Alan was a long time special ed teacher for Millard Public Schools; he was a devoted father and Husker fan. Funeral Service 1 p.m. Thursday (2/11/2021) at Roeder Mortuary (2727 N. 108th St, Omaha, NE) with visitation from 12 – 1 pm. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Memorials to the Neb. Game and Parks Commission.

David Williams, Sr.

David Williams Sr. age 76 was born on August 17, 1944 in Waldo, Arkansas and was promoted by God to Heaven on January 27, 2021. He departed this life peacefully in his home surrounded by family.  David accomplished many achievements and goals, but the greatest one was at an early age, when he accepted Christ.  He was a longstanding member of Paradise Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Willie Washington & Dr. Thomas L. Smith where he continued to attend until his health began to decline. In 1962, he graduated from Edison High School in Fresno, California and received an Associate Degree in Business Management from Fresno City College. He later moved to Omaha, Nebraska where he joined union and married the love of his life Barbara in 1965. They had 4 boys and 2 girls. He was employed at Vickers Cooperation and retired from United Ag with 21 years of service. David was a landlord, entrepreneur and owner of Williams’ Bowling Pro Shop and Williams Janitorial Services. He enjoyed traveling, bowling, telling jokes, listening to good old fashion music, going on car rides, giving knowledge and advice whether you wanted to hear it or not, watching the NFL and NBA games, and loved good southern cooking from his wife. He would always call, to check on family and friend’s well-being. He would sit for hours and watch his kids and grandchildren play sports. He was an avid well-known bowler, who bowled many 300 games and 800 series throughout his bowling career. He was abducted into the Omaha Bowling Hall of Fame April, 17, 1999.  David loved the month of May because it was his marriage anniversary and the month of January because of his wife’s birthday. We all have a story or two tell when it comes to David that we will always remember. He was a loving father and a great provider and there was never a dull moment when he was around.

David Williams Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Emma and Isaiah Williams; sons: Rodney Williams and David Williams Jr; siblings: James Williams, Moses Williams, Josephine Lee, Pinky Jones, Albert Williams, Jacob Williams, Issac Williams and Magaline Williams.

He leaves to cherished through his precious memory; Wife, Barbara J. Williams and children: Larry Williams (Kansas City, MO) Kennith Williams (Omaha, NE) Michael Williams (Omaha NE) Dr. Belinda Johnson (Lee’s Summit, MO) Teresa Williams (Bellevue, NE) and Tinzin Williams (Kansas City, MO); brother: Claudia Williams (Fresno, CA) and sister Ruthie Clark (Fresno, CA) 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

Adrian H. Streit

5/29/1936 – 2/6/2021

Omaha – Adrian was a devoted father, grandfather and friend who loved gatherings with his family.  He was a hard worker and took pride in helping his kids gain a good work ethic.  He grew up on a farm in Kansas and loved to hunt since his childhood.  He had many exciting hunting stories to tell and some trophies on his wall.  The love of his life, Jo Hessig and him enjoyed caring for their dog, Annie and looking after the stray cats. They enjoyed cheering on the Green Bay Packers and other favorite teams. Adrian served in the US Navy and had a long career as a meat cutter and built a business of owning and managing single family rental homes.

Preceded in death by son Kenneth, daughter Rachel Streit, parents Henry and Marie Streit, siblings Gwendolyn, Victor, Duane, Gene. Survived by significant other Emma Jo Hessig, children Brenda Banks, Deborah Ackerman, Rhonda (Russ) Armstrong, Mark Streit, Jody (Don) Sundell, grandchildren Frank, Angel, Jared, Jessie, Jake, Jackie, great grandchildren Talyn, Greyson, Isabella, Joe, siblings Joe (Mary) Streit, Jim (Deanna) Streit, sister-in-law Eleanor, family and friends.
