Pearl M. Griffin

The beloved Pearl was born on March 4, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee to Myles Davis Lofton and Mamie D. Lofton. Pearl attended Hospon Bayous Elementary School in Tutwiler, Mississippi. She then attended West District High School Tallahatchie County, Mississippi. Pearl came to Omaha, Nebraska not soon after high school. She worked at Offutt Air force Base for several years. Then moved on to becoming the best seamstress working for a various companies. She later pursued her passion for cooking which she loved and worked for several different companies (Catholic Charities, Campus for Hope to name a few) and ended her career at Camelot Community Center. Pearl was best known for her “sharp dressing” she was a fashionista and was a “great friend” to all she encountered she was loved and will be missed.

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; Myles Lofton and Mamie D. Lofton, 2 special grandsons; Aaron W. Lofton & Kevin L. Lofton (mother Valincia).

She leaves to cherish her memory husband; James I. Griffin, 3 children; Roscoe Lofton (Kim), Valincia Lofton Duncan and Brian W. Curtis, 2 brothers; Jerry Lofton, Elkhart, Indiana and Joe Boyd Fairview, Illinois, 5 sisters; Anne Cheryl Daniels, San Antonio, Texas, Catherine (Willie) Ford, Clarkdale, Mississippi, Franklin (Saint) Lewis, Thelma Diggs both of Fairview, Illinois, and Barbara Lewis, Killeen, Texas, 2 aunts; Viola Hardy Tutwiler, Mississippi and Annie Davis Memphis, Tennessee, grandchildren; Taffi Reese, Andre Boyd Kiantae, Kimhani (Roscoe Lofton), Eric, Raven, Evan (Valincia Lofton Duncan) Brian, Brandon,Khysia, Khyla, Khalil, Boston (Brian Curtis), great grandchildren; Ariana Gray (Aaron Lofton), Eric Lofton, Jr. (Eric Lofton, Sr.), RayMir and LaTaurus Valentine (Raven Lofton), Miricle Boyd (Andre Boyd) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2021 with Visitation 1 hour prior at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave.
