Hilda Jean Morris Age 90 passed away on September 15, 2021.  She was born on September 14, 1931 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Kenneth and Luella (Hockett) Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother; Thelma, sister; Phyllis Tustison (Bob), brother’s; H. John Allen, DeVere Allen (Geri) and Roger Lee Hockett, grandson; Michael Schumacher, first husband; Robert Grant and brother and sister-in-law: Vernon and Kathy Grant.

Jean is survived by her husband; Gene, daughters; Cheryl Dively (Greg), Cathleen Broda, Charleen Schumacher and Connie Grant-Leanna, grandchildren; Shane Dively, Adam Dively, Onnie Christensen, Alyssa Schumacher, Haley Grant, Eric Grant-Leanna, Kelly Grant-Leanna, Corie Dechant, Molly Odorisio, Joel Grant-Leanna and Jordan Grant-Leanna, great-grandchildren; MJ Dively, Madi Dively and Ben Hughes-Dively, Madelynn Smith, Mckenzie Smith and Roguen Smith and Trenton Schumacher, sister; Marsha Huenink (Marvin), brother; LouVaughn Allen (JoAnn), sisters-in-law; Jenell Morris and Sharon Shedlosky (Jerry), son-in-law; Kevin Grant-Leanna and many family and friends.

William Joseph Kerkmann, Jr.

William Joseph Kerkmann, Jr. Age 75 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on July 22, 2021.

He was born on September 4, 1945 to William and Mildred (Miller) Kerkmann in Omaha, Nebraska.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force.  Bill was active in Ducks Unlimited and was the chairman for many years.  He received a conservation service award in September of 2002 for his outstanding contributions and volunteered with many activities.  He loved hunting, fishing and doing carpentry work.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Shirley, parents; William and Mildred Kerkmann and sister and brother-in-law; Barbara and Jim Steskal.

Bill is survived by his daughter; Brenda, son and daughter-in-law; Bill and Nancy, 5-step children; Marcy, Jodi, Vicki, Jeff and Danny, sisters; Deanna Beresh and Linda Balakier, brother; Michael Kerkmann (Mary), many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Roger Martin Schlabs

Roger Martin Schlabs Age 67 of Omaha passed away on September 13, 2021.  He was born on July 1, 1954 to Eldan and Sylvia (Jorgensen) Schlabs in Omaha, Nebraska.  He loved the holidays, garage sales, all types of music and collecting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Dorothy Payne.

Roger is survived by his brother; Doug Schlabs (Greta), sisters; Toni Heng and Mary Knight, guardian angel nephew; Eldan Forrest, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Darnell Maurice King

Darnell King was a soldier in all aspects of life; The #1 Universal Soldier. He has been a walking testimony while fighting kidney disease and multiple surgeries for over 40 years.

Darnell grew up in Omaha, NE and attended high school at Omaha North High where he was an amazing athlete. Later in life he became an exceptional musician and lyricist. He worked at The Hope Center in the recording studio where he mentored young individuals in the art of music. In his spare time, he loved riding with the top down in his BMW, hosting and assisting with many shows on the radio, and spending time with his family. Darnell loved and lived life.

Darnell was upbeat, lively, always telling a joke, and the life of the party. Through his pain he smiled and loved every day.

Survived by his wife Serena Lopez King, Parents Edward “Buddy” King Sr. (Carole) & Linda Whitcomb (Archie). Children: Shanika King, Brandon Jacobs, Candice Henry (Marcell), Delon Buford, Nikita Smith, Cleo Lambert, Vanessa Arroyo, Marisa Arroyo, Jessica Lopez, and Georgia Lopez. Siblings: Edward L. King Jr. (Juanita), Cynthia “Mouse” King-Carr, Homer King, Johnny King (Shantae), Marlin Ferguson (Noel), Tara Newman-Bell (James), Marty King, Johnathan King (Julie), David King, 10 Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Allen Burton Foster

 

Allen Burton Foster was born on July 10th, 1953 in Kansas City, MO, passed away at home, in Omaha, NE, on September 7th, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophiae, and siblings Shirley and Joseph “Sonny” Jr. He is survived by his siblings Nancy, Anna, Toi, Todd, and Joseph Tyrone; daughters; Michele and Nicole; grandchildren Dahlia, Zarah, and Adonis, as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

After a short time in the USMC, Allen worked as a stationary engineer in Omaha. In 1993 he earned a Bachelor of Religious Education from Aenon Bible College. In 2005 he became an Ordained Minister of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. In addition to studying Christianity and law, Allen enjoyed watching all types of sports, but especially the Lakers.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12th at Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave. from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.  A Graveside Service will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Monday, September 13th at 11:00 AM.
