Obituary
Wince “Mane” Bonner Jr., was born December 28, 1946 in Darlington, Alabama to Rose and Wince Bonner Sr. He was one of six children; brother, James and sisters Julia Mae, Mae Carol, Mary and Isabell.
Wince grew up in Pensacola, Florida prior to his family moving to Omaha, Nebraska. He continued his education at Kellom Community Center. Wince retired from University Medical Center after being employed there for 40 years. Thereafter, he continued his passion in helping others.
Wince loved the Lord and as a teenager was baptized at the Sharon Seventh Day Adventist Church. He volunteered at Sharon to help out with Vacation Bible School, assisted with the church’s Yard Maintenance and other Church Maintenance Projects and was a vibrant Sabbath School participate.
Wince faithfully attended church. He attended Bethesda Temple Seventh Day Adventist before his health failed. Wince built several relationships throughout the years with both of his church family’s and he especially loved to attend their Fellowship Dinners. Wince made a lasting impact with everyone that he met. With his winning smile and that gentle laugh, you couldn’t help but to love him. He could always depend on his cousin Tommie to be there for him, they were inseparable. When you saw one, you can always be sure the other wasn’t too far. Whether carpentry or gardening, he was always looking for something to do. Wince departed this life on August 29, 2020 after a long illness, He will be greatly missed by his family, church family and friends.
Wince was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother: Mary Evans; sisters: Julia Mae Fowler and Mae Carol Carroll.
Wince Mane Bonner leaves to cherish his memories, brother James (Carol) Bonner; sisters: Mary Alcorn and Isabell H.; cousins Thomas Crawford and Edna Golden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 8th, Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave. with Visitation from 10: 00 A.M. until service time.
Interment: Graceland Park Cemetery.
