Victor was born in Omaha, Ne. second oldest of a family of five boys and three girls and grew up on the family farm just South of Springfield.

He graduated from Platteview High School in 1963 and went to work at Western Electric for forty five years before retiring.

He was a life-long member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Gretna and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus # 10047.

He lived on the family farm his entire life of seventy-seven years and his loving and caring support of his parents enabled them to stay on the farm through their golden years.

His passion and his knowledge for planting and growing trees allowed him to have a great variety of trees thriving on his acreage.

Victor was well known throughout the local counties for his skill of Water Dousing (water witching) to find under-ground water for drilling wells for family homes.

Victor will be loved and missed by many!

Victor was preceded in death by his parents: Tom & Frances Sedlacek; baby sister: Marie; brother-in-law: Tom Leehy; He is survived by his siblings: Tom (Bev) Sedlacek, Sister Frances Sedlacek, Mary (Ronnie) Swanigan, Don (Louise) Sedlacek, Bob (Mary Frances) Sedlacek, Joe (Linda) Sedlacek, Linda Leehy; many nieces, nephews, other loving family, & friends.
