Steven Wayne Sexton
Steven “Hobo” Sexton, age 79, died at home surrounded by family on May 12, 2021. He was born November 21, 1941 in Omaha, to Clifford and Adelaide “Pearl” (Strayer) Sexton.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by brother Forest Sexton, Sister “Connie” Queen, and Grandson Ryan Sidener. As well as a host of other beloved friends and family.
Steven retired from Asarco Co. after 35 years of dedication and was a lifelong member of Florence Christian Church where he served as a deacon.
In 1963, Steve Married Cheryle (Tackitt) and from this union they produced three children. While their marriage wouldn’t last forever as they’d hoped, Steve and Cheryle remained close until the day he departed.
He is survived by daughter Dr. Sandra Sexton Welling and her husband Dave; Son Forest Sexton and his partner Kara Brown; daughter Tracey Sexton and partner Anthony Scarpello, eight grandchildren Alexis, Melissa, Nikole, Morgan, Madison, Jake, Shayn and Parker and five great grandchildren Adelaide, Jaxon, Tyson, Natalie, and Emmersyn. Additionally, Steve has close bonds with many of his nieces, nephews and cousins.
In 1996, Steve had a brief marriage to Kara “Jean” Constant at which time he grew his family by adding multiple stepchildren and step-grandchildren.

Funeral Service: 10:00 AM Monday, May 17th Florence Christian Church, 7300 Northridge Dr.
