Rodney G. Lensch

Lensch, Rodney G. (87). Born April 8, 1934 in Rock County, MN, passed away peacefully January 13, 2022 at the Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE.  Beloved husband for 63 years of Joyce Finlayson Lensch; beloved father of Jeanne (Walter) Fiedler, Darby, MT, Jayne (John) Sachen, Red Wing, MN, Robyn Lensch and Joel (Susan) Lensch, Omaha, NE, and Christina Hardin, Darby, MT.  Also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandson.  Rev. Lensch graduated from Concordia Seminary, Springfield, IL, in 1959 and served Missouri Synod Lutheran churches in Coronado, CA, Columbus, OH, Camarillo, CA, and Thousand Oaks, CA.  In 1968, he left parish life to minister eccumencially throughout the US, Australia and Brazil, most notably in St. Louis, MO, St. Paul, MN, and Albany, NY; his passion was to encourage and support pastors and lay leaders.  A gifted teacher and writer, he published the Rod and Staff newsletter addressing various aspects of the Christian experience, as well as the social, political, and religious issues of the day, in print for 40+ years.  Visitation 10-11 AM on Saturday January 22, 2022 at Roeder Mortuaries, N. 108th Ave., Omaha, followed by the service at 11.
