Omaha – Robert Coffey, Sr. was born June 29, 1946 in Omaha, NE to Leon and Pearley Coffey. He was one of five children, 3 of whom preceded him in death.
Robert attended Lothrop Elementary School and graduated from Tech High School in Omaha, NE.
He joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church at a young age under the leadership of Pastor St. Clair and remained a member until his departure from this life.
Robert met and married Shirley Jackson and to this union 2 children were born.
Robert was employed as a construction Laborer and later worked for the City of Omaha- Parks & Recreations until retirement.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, he loved to travel and had a great love for the LA Lakers!
On Friday, January 28, 2022 Robert departed this life. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Pearley Coffey, son Robert Coffey, Jr. brother Leon Coffey, sister Francis Coffey, sister Brenda Nared; nephew Preston (Famous) Vaughn; Niece Tammy Montgomery; niece Ralanda Nared. He leaves to cherish his memories his children Deborah, Donald, Robbie; sisters Jeanette Kellogg, Christina Coffey, Diane Coffey; special friend Eula McKell, grandchildren Dupree Johnson, Drake Johnson, DaVon Johnson, Robbi Coffey, Shacoya Smith, Alex Harris, Caitlin Pique; great grandchildren Elijah Johnson, Elanna Johnson, Klyn Johnson, Zendaya Johnson, Trinity Johnson, Nova Grace Johnson, nephews John Nared Tracy Vaughn, Willie Haynes Radall Nared, Solomon Murray, Charles Smith, Eurell Montgomery, niece Leony Montgomery and a host of grand nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation Saturday 9:00 – 10:00 AM with Funeral Service 10:00 AM Saturday (2/5/22) at Roeder Mortuary.
