Roeder Mortuary 4 Steps:
1. Determine the type of funeral service you may desire. This can take as long as necessary to determine the type of service you would desire. We can discuss several options and provide cost estimates for each.
2. Provide you with a cost quote for the service you desire. In addition to funeral home charges, we will estimate for you what is called “cash advances.” These are costs outside of the funeral home for items such as obituary notices, grave opening charges, honorariums, funeral escorts, flowers, certified copies of death certificates, etc.
3. Record important biographical information we will need to complete the death certificate and obituary notice when death occurs.
4. Discuss how the funeral will be paid for. Some people have insurance policies they plan to use to pay for the funeral and some want to prepay for the funeral. Many payments options are available, including interest free for 2 years. With our payment plans, if death occurs while you are making your payments, the entire cost of the funeral may be paid with remaining payments forgiven.
Advantages of planning & prefunding include:
- It guarantees that the funeral will reflect your wishes.
- It makes everything much simpler for your family at the time of your death.
- It eliminates questions and disagreements on what type of funeral service you would want.
- It eliminates the concern as to who will pay for your funeral.
- You get a guarantee from the funeral home on the service and merchandise in your funeral plan.
- All plans are irrevocably assigned to the funeral home. Which guarantees these funds will be set aside for your service no matter what happens down the road.
- We offer a number of convenient payments options, including 2 year same-as-cash.
- Included at no extra charge is a Death Away from Home Rider. That would help with the expenses to get you home if death were to occur out of town or on vacation.
