Patsy, 86, was born on August 3, 1935 to Frank and Josephine (Jo) McDonald.  She was an only child, raised mainly in Omaha along with her cousin, who was more of a sister, Jackie Francis Burns.  She graduated from Omaha North in 1953. The following year she married the love of her life, Les Nelson, and they were happily married for 55 years.  Together the couple had three children and raised them on the outskirts of Omaha.

Patsy was a homemaker for much of her life.  As her kids grew older and became more involved with activities, you would find her at all sorts of sporting events cheering them on. She especially loved attending her son’s baseball games.  Pat later obtained a real estate license and worked at various companies in various positions.  Most recently, she “worked” as a volunteer at Immanuel Hospital.

Pat will be best remembered for her devotion to her family and the love she had for each of them was her greatest blessing.  She also loved to sing and many will fondly remember her belting out one of her renditions of “Crazy” at a party or event.

On December 4, 2021, Pat went to be with her beloved husband that she desperately missed for the last 12 years.  She is also preceded in death by her parents and cousin.  She was the proud mother of three children, Leslie (Dennis) Bredin, Jim (Rita) Nelson, Steve (Susie) Nelson, nine grandchildren, Steve (Tanya) Adams, Bryan (Emily) Adams, Hayley (Ryan) Locke, Erin Nelson (Brent Menke), Lauren Nelson, Megan Nelson, Caitie Nelson, Tanner Nelson, Reid Nelson and seven great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marilyn and Earl Wiegert, nieces, nephews and many others that knew and loved her.
