Libbie E. Cook (Mikovec)

3/18/1921 – 8/11/2022

Age 101 – Libbie was born in Omaha, NE on March 18, 1921 and passed away August 11, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton G. “Fritz” Cook; parents, Jan and Anna Mikovec and her brothers, John, Frank, Joe and Geroge Mikovec.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Norma-Lou Cook and Michael and Valerie Cook; her grandchildren, Matthew Cook and fiancée, Sarah Doyle and Nichole and Gregg Scholtens; her great grandchildren, Delaney and Bryce Scholtens and many relatives and friends.

Libbie was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dog lover who wanted to be remembered as a “Tough Old Bohunk.”

Funeral Service: 11 AM Wednesday (8/17/2022) with visitation 1 hour prior from 10 – 11 AM at Roeder Mortuary, 2727 N. 108th Street, Omaha, NE.  Burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Bellevue, NE. Memorials to the Nebraska Humane Society, 8929 Fort St., Omaha NE 68134.
