Lennette F James

Lennette Frances James was born December 17, 1958, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late Nancy (Reeves) Drake and Leonard James. She passed away at the age of 62 on September 3, 2021, at her home in Omaha, Nebraska.

Lennette attended Lake and Conestoga Elementary Schools, Horace Mann Junior High, and she graduated from Omaha Tech High School in 1976. She was always a hard worker who collected many friends along the way at Mutual of Omaha, Member Works, and Methodist Hospital, but Lennette’s priority was her family—especially her daughter, Courtney, and two grandsons, Zaire and Zandre, who were her world.

Lennette’s smile could light up a room, but she was fiercely protective of her family and friends. She was loved and will be missed by many people. She will also be greatly missed by QVC, the Home Shopping Network, Wish, Amazon and Facebook. Lennette had a generous spirit and loved to shower her family with gifts—but Lord help the person who forgot to thank her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Nancy (Reeves) Drake and Leonard James, and her grandmother Charlotte (McRae) Reeves Riley.

Lennette is survived by her daughter, Courtney Galvin, and grandsons, Zaire Butler and Zandre Galvin, all of Omaha, NE; special friend Charles Duncan of Omaha, NE; sisters Joy (Greg) Gier of Omaha, NE and Demetria James of San Bernardino, CA; brothers Rod (Ericka) James of Council Bluffs, IA and Dimitri (Tracy) James of San Bernardino, CA; nieces Monica James of Bellevue, NE, Sona James of Omaha, NE, and Candance Gier of Omaha, NE; nephews Vincent Gier of Omaha, NE, Talon Gier of Omaha, NE, Logan Gier of San Diego, CA, Roderick “Ricky” Ortiz of Omaha, NE and Jacob James of Colorado Springs, CO; and many loving family and friends, including her great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service Saturday (9/25/2021) 10:00 AM at Salem Baptist Church 3131 Lake Street Omaha, NE. Please arrive 15 minutes early for Covid 19 protocol.
