Larry Joseph Theisen was born on April 7, 1948 in Omaha, NE to LeRoy and Lauretta (Copeland) Theisen. Larry married Teddy Tyler to this union a daughter, Arliss was born.  Larry started roofing alongside his dad at an early age. He continued this occupation until his retirement. Larry enjoyed kayaking at Willow Lake and camping with his grandson. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, following the Nebraska Huskers football team and socializing with his friends at the local establishments. He liked to do remodeling and  do-it-yourself projects.

On November 25, 2015 he married Diane Oliver in Vermillion, South Dakota. Larry and Diane enjoyed  traveling to South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming and Minnesota to visit family and friends. They resided in Logan, Iowa until his passing.

Larry died on February 25, 2022 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, NE at the age of 73 years, 10 months, and 18 days. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; Teddy; daughter: Arliss; brothers: LeRoy, Jr. and Leslie, Sr.; sister: Linda Guarino; and 5 nephews.  He is survived by his wife: Diane Logan; three grandsons: Justin, Zach and Collin of Omaha; bonus children: Kelly (James) Craft of Logan, Glenda (Mark Cunard) Oliver  of Logan, Stacie (Bruce) Gatrost of Missouri Valley, Tracy (Mary) Oliver of Herman, Paula (Scott) Harding of Sloan, Philip (Priscilla) Oliver of Crescent; 14 bonus grandchildren; and 13 bonus greatgrandchildren.

Four siblings: Lorraine (Arlan) Stratman of Omaha, Lyle Theisen of Omaha, Laura (Mike) Peterson of Omaha,  and Cindy Thomas of Omaha. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
