of Omaha, age 79, passed away after a brief illness.  Jim was born in Omaha, NE, the son of Marjorie and Christopher Bauer.  He was raised in Omaha, graduating from North High School in 1959.  Jim attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, became a plumber’s apprentice, and also joined the U.S. Army Reserve where he served our country for 15 years.  Jim worked as a plumber for over 40 years on both residential and commercial projects.  As he transitioned into retirement, he loved being a groundskeeper at Stone Creek Golf Course.  Jim very much enjoyed the great outdoors where you could find him hunting, camping and fishing.  His family and friends created many memories on annual fishing trips to Minnesota and the Ozarks.

Jim is survived by his 99-year-old mother Marjorie Bauer, sister Christine Carmody (TJ) and three sons, Michael (Kathleen), David (Susan), all of Omaha; Jonathan (Michele) of Atlanta; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his wife Patty and father Christopher.
