Age 78 of Omaha

Jack was a loving father, uncle and grandfather who could always be counted on and lit up a room when he walked in. He was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on September 22, 1941 to Jack Sr and Clara Belle (McGoy) Mays. Graduated Omaha Technical High School in 1959. Worked for the City of Omaha Parks and Recreation Department for 36 years. He was a recent member of New Life Presbyterian church where he sang in the men’s chorus.

He is survived by sons, Jack Mays III, David D. Mays and long-time companion Myzetta Miller, along with many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will be missed dearly.

Jack is preceded in death by his father; Jack Mays Sr.; mother Clara Belle McGoy, sister Denise Marzella Wynne and daughter Yvonne Renee Hester

Visitation: 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 17, 2020, Roeder Mortuary, 4932 Ames Ave, Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral Services: 12:00 P.M., Monday, August 17, 2020 also at the mortuary.

Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery, 7909 Mormon Bridge Rd, Omaha, Nebraska.
