Guy was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend among many other things. He was married to his wife Joyce of 63 years and had 4 wonderful children Debbie, Guy, Mike and Scott who cherished and loved him. His love for his family was strong and evident. He worked very hard to provide for his family and make sure they always had the best. He was blessed with two sisters, Rosalie and Bonnie who he cherished and loved being a brother to.

Guy was a Navy veteran who proudly served our country. Even though it was not an easy decision being newly married, he wanted to make our country proud. There were many things he loved in life, one of those being Cowboy’s football games. No matter if they won or lost, he was still a loyal fan. For his 75th birthday, he finally was able to see them play the Chiefs in Kansas City. A trip he would never forget, pouring rain and the Cowboy’s lost. But, what a great memory. He also lived for hockey, so much as he coached a local youth group in his younger years. Nothing was better than watching the puck drop with a nice cold Budweiser. Guy also loved his NASCAR, he would never miss a race of Dale Earnhardt or Dale Earnhardt Jr’s.

Family meant a lot to Guy, He enjoyed family vacations, camping, the beach and snowmobiling with his kids and Joyce. After a hard day’s work, he always enjoyed coming home and eating a fabulous meal made by his wife. He definitely was a meat and potato guy. Among one of the other things Guy enjoyed was his bowling league with his lifelong childhood friend, Guy Griggs and his wife Judy. The four of them could tell you a lot of great memories.

Guy missed his beautiful wife Joyce and his heart was broken without her. Their love was strong and at almost 64 years together, 5 weeks was just too long without her. He passed peacefully in his sleep and is now joined with Joyce in the beautiful gardens of heavens. No more suffering or pain. Fly high and we will see you again someday.
