Gary Ray Relford

Gary had a passion for family. He started the first Sanders’ Family Reunion in Omaha along with his sister and cousin Teddy. Gary used his electric wheelchair like a top of the line Mercedes- Benz. He loved to travel to New York, Kansas City, Oklahoma and Forth Smith, Arkansas. He was full of life and never let his illness hold him down. He was there for every BBQ and party, even if you were in the hospital, he was there. He had the biggest smile and loved to sing and play cards. Gary went home peacefully at his home on July 26, 2020 after a courageous battle of Septicemia with his sister Neicy and brother Randy at his side. Gary was born on Sunday February 21, 1965 in Omaha, NE to Beatren & Barbara Wills Relford. He was the baby of 5 children. He accepted Christ at a young age where he was a member Mt. Zion Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Elder John Bell. He then moved his membership to Antioch Church of God in Christ with Pastor Larry Taylor. Gary is preceded in death by his parent’s Beatren & Barbara Wills Relford, brother Arnold Relford, Grandparents James & Marie Lindsay, Roe & Josephine Relford, Niece Deja Relford, Aunts Nadine Gamble, Jeannette Lindsay, Uncle Glen Lindsay, special cousins Arnell & Gladys Powell. Gary will be missed by his only sister Denise and brother in law Ben Spencer, 2 Brothers, Charles & Randy Relford all of Omaha, NE, Nieces Michell Relford, Kiya Crawford all of Omaha, NE, Brandi Crawford of Kansas City, MO, Nephews, Darnell Relford, Gerry, Darius and Donaven Crawford, Dalon Relford, Charles Byars, Randy Edward, Great Nieces, Cyriah Relford, Je’Anna Crawford and GiaVonna Parks, Great Nephews, Darnell Relford Jr. Till’Maryon, LaMarion, Dalon Relford Jr, Boe Byras, Cymas Relford, Antwain Foster Jr. and Randy Parks all of Omaha, NE, Step Sister Crystal Brown (Marvin) of Oklahoma City, OK, Aunts, Celestine Phillips of Buford, GA, Christine Robinson of Omaha, NE, Lou Duncan of Mt.
