Gabriel Walker Lawrence
November 25, 1977 – November 2, 2021.
Gabe Lawrence, 43 of Gretna, Nebraska, passed away on November 2, 2021. Gabe is survived by his wife, Amber Lawrence; daughter, Kendall Lawrence; sons, Walker and Dawson Lawrence; grandmother Barbara Lawrence; father, Stephen Lawrence; mother, Song Im Cho; stepmother Patti Salvo-McGinn; sisters, Jessie Lawrence Strazdas and Mia Lawrence; brother, Jason Lawrence (Megan); nieces, Candace Cusimano, Hailey Ingram, Brooklyn Strazdas and Maysen Lawrence; nephew, Owen Strazdas; and a host of adoring aunts, uncles and cousins.
Gabe served his country in the USAF for over 16 years, achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant. TSgt Lawrence provided Network Support and Integration, Communications Security and Information Technology support in his commitment to the United States of America.
Gabe brought smiles with his antics and laughter with his witty banter. He could approach boundaries without leaving offense and mend fences when others went too far. What he lacked in stature, he made up with an effervescent charisma. He was genuinely open and authentically friendly. He had the unique gift for making each individual feel like they were the most important person alive. He worked tirelessly to create, build and increase relationships with every loved one and friend.
Gabe was caring, generous and had a dream to lift up the children in our community who struggle with poverty and broken homes. He often encouraged us to look forward; never plan for the future by looking to the past; and always live life on purpose.
Principally, Gabe was entirely devoted to his family. He knew he was blessed with a wife of rare quality and beauty, and he was completely devoted to his three incredible children. He believed in his family, his Divinely-blessed country, and the ability of every person to reach their full potential in the eyes of God. Finally, Gabe is no doubt resting in Grandpa Connie’s company, in fellowship with their Savior and possibly schooling them both in the intricacies of fantasy football.
