Derek S. Holt was born July 14th, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa and later moved to Omaha, Nebraska. Derek worked for Apple Roofing. He loved building relationships with his customers and seeing their smile when the project was done. Bow hunting was his love and he would always say it was his time to spend with God. Derek enjoyed archery and shooting guns. He envisioned having a ministry for children and families to re-establish unity and teach leadership skills. Derek felt so blessed to serve at his church Lord of Host. He is loved by many and remembered by God.

Preceded in death by his father LeRoy Bell and mother Charlene Holt. Survived by his wife Brinda Holt and children Nathan and Amy Holt, Leah Holt, Sarah Holt, Jason Holt, Malachi Holt, Kyley Vlcek and Siarah Vlcek along with one grandchild Liliana Holt.
