Debra K. Christenson

7/17/1956 – 3/7/2021

Deb grew up in the Hanska, Madelia, New Ulm, MN area. She graduated from New Ulm HS in 1974 and later attended Golden Valley College in MN.

Deb and Paul met on at a youth convention in 1972, Married in 1978 and resided in Omaha, NE.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Nina Schmiesing; brothers George, Jon, Marcus and Timothy Schmiesing and sister MaryBeth Egesdal.    Survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Carissa (Josh) Combes; son, Brandon; grandchildren, Jayden Christenson, Payton Combes; sisters, Pam (Bob) Schultz, Priscilla (Jeff) London and a host of loving nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 PM Friday (3/19/2021) at mortuary. Memorial Service: 10:00 AM Saturday (3/20/2021) at Lord of Love Lutheran Church, 10405 Fort Street, Omaha NE. Memorials to Lord of Love Lutheran Church.

The funeral service will be limited to 50 people due to COVID restrictions.  A sign up will be posted on the church website www.lord-of-love.org.  The service will be live streamed on the church YouTube channel and will be made available for later viewing as well.
