Cole Michael Oban was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 24, 2003 to Tim Oban and Jodi Semonell. Cole left this world on August 31, 2022.

Cole graduated from Millard South High School in 2021, with not only his high school diploma, but also his associates degree from Metropolitan Community College. He was a Regents Scholar recipient, and went to the University of Nebraska at Omaha pursuing a degree in physics. Cole worked at Brookstone Village where he enjoyed working with friends in the dietary department. Cole was known for being reliable and an all around joy to work alongside.

Cole enjoyed spending time with friends playing video games, and even achieved high status in the League of Legends, being ranked the top 1,327th player in the region. When Cole wasn’t perfecting his fettuccine alfredo recipe, he was longboarding with friends. Cole had a deep love for animals, especially cats.

Cole is preceded in death by his great-grandfather: Marvin D. Johnson; great-grandparents: Dwaine & Joyce Oban, George & Jan Johnson, Marvin & Bernice Nelson, and Lewis & Pat Semonell; grandfather: Timothy Oban; and Noel the Cat. He is survived by his parents: Jodi Semonell & Tim Oban; siblings: Jordyn and Preston; great-grandmother: Norma Johnson; grandparents: Marvene & Ed Plueger and Steve & Debbi Semonell; aunt and uncle: Tina & Todd Hatten, and many cousins and relatives.  Also survived by his closest friends Matthew and Michael James, and many others.
