Omaha NE. Ken was the third born child to Aleck and Ann Axelson and lived his entire life in Omaha. He was a Korean War Marine Veteran and was preceded in death by his and wife, Peg (Russell) Axelson; brother, Leonard; his parents; sisters, Norma Binsacca and Laverne Sapp. He is survived by his sons, Mark (Dawn), Kevin, Rick; and daughter, MaryAnne (Tom) Comerford, all of Omaha; and his three grandchildren, Christopher, Catherine, and Cayla Comerford.
ROSARY: 9:30am Monday, January 25th, at St. James Catholic Church (4710 North 90th Street, Omaha NE.) with FUNERAL MASS at 10:00am. Christian Burial following Mass at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org)

Norman Joseph Hudgins was born on February 23, 1953

to Norman R. and Florence P. (Davis) Hudgins.

Norman departed from this life suddenly on January 20, 2021.

Norman graduated from Omaha Central High School.  After graduation, he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  After graduating, he joined the United States Army.  After departing from the military, he worked with his father at a landscaping company for many years.  Norman was a faithful member of Mount Calvary Church where he praised the Lord every Sunday with a praise dance.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother; Florence P. Hudgins, sister; Vanessa I. Fields (Howard), brother; Britt J. Hudgins, 5-nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Kendrick Montray Carr Age 37 of Omaha, Nebraska passed away on January 6, 2021 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Kendrick was born on September 29, 1983 in Hammond, Louisiana to Jimmy Zanders and Lori Carr.  He was employed with Nature’s Variety in Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother’s; EvaMay Carr and Helen Robinson and uncle; Ken Robinson.

Kendrick is survived by his mother; Lori Carr, daughter; Kayleena Carr, brother; Jacoby Carr, aunt, uncle, niece, nephews and friends.

Gail Jean Reiter

Gail Jean Reiter, Born February 14, 1954, passed peacefully on January 16, 2021 in the presence of her family. She is survived by her husband, Curtis, sons Joseph and Brian, and Brian’s partner, Johanna Barry. She was the only sister to her three loving brothers and their wonderful families: Linn and Sara Orris, Don and Bonnie Orris, and Jerry and Janet Orris. She cherished the time they had together, and loved to spend time with her nieces, nephews, and their families. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Margaret Orris.

Gail was born and raised in Jefferson, Iowa. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1972 and attended Northwest Missouri State for her undergraduate accounting degree in 1976. Gail accepted a position with McGladry, Hanson, and Dunn in Marshalltown Iowa, where she met her husband, Curtis. They were married in 1977 and moved to Grand Island, Nebraska, where Gail worked for the public utility department. In 1980, Gail and Curtis moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where Gail worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. In 1984, her first son, Joseph, was born. He now lives in Champaign, Illinois. Her second son, Brian, was born in 1987, and lives with his partner in Chicago, Illinois. Gail loved having the boys close, but with the chance to travel to see them. Gail and Curt’s desire to travel led her to take the position of Controller for the Omaha Country Club when Brian was born. She remained at OCC for 30 years, retiring to spend even more time traveling and enjoying time with friends and family. She met so many wonderful people that were a joyful part of her life; and loved you all. Gail enjoyed Disney World adventures, traveling to European countries, Creighton Volleyball, and Creighton Soccer.

Oliver Raymond Hayes

Oliver Raymond Hayes was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 30, 1927, to Clarence Hayes and Anna Hayes (Smith). He was the last survivor of 10 siblings. He graduated from Howard Kennedy Elementary School and thereafter, he attended Technical High School.

Oliver enlisted in the Army at the age of 18. He served and was honorably discharged in World War II and the Korean War. After the war, Oliver had 2 sons, then he met the love of his life Helen M. McDougald in 1955 whom he married in 1957, who also had 2 sons & together they had a daughter. As a family man, he raised his children with his wife of 36 years before she passed away in 1993. Oliver provided for his family working at Wilson’s & Swift meatpacking plants on the beef boning production line where he retired after 40 years.

Oliver left us on January 11, 2021, at the age of 93, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather & friend who will be deeply missed by all. Oliver enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards with friends. He often would like to have family gatherings on holidays & good times with friends in his garage.

Oliver is preceded in death by his wife, Helen M. Hayes, and sons, Michael Hayes & Marvin (Deacon) Hayes.

Oliver is survived by their daughter Helen O. Hayes, Sons; Rochelle Gordon and David James, Daughters in law; Diana Hayes & Martha Hayes; Grandchildren, Michelle Hayes, Dawaune Hayes, Denise Hayes & Michael Lawrence Hayes; With a host of great grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren & several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be held  1:00 PM  Friday (1/22/2021) at Roeder Mortuary (4932 Ames Ave) with visitation from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
