Carol Jean Robson (Garnaas) was born on November 20th 1951 in Missoula, Montana. She was the daughter of Bjorn and Pearl Garnaas and the youngest of 4 sisters, Donna, Barb and Linda.
Carol and her family moved to Omaha, NE in 1956 and she attended Benson high school where she met and fell in love with her high school sweetheart, Mike Robson. She went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln with a teaching degree.
In 1972 Carol began her teaching career and taught at Saratoga, Lothrop, Walnut Hill, Ponca and Sherman Elementary. She retired in 2016 after 42 years. Carol’s passion was teaching, and she dedicated her life to going above and beyond to make an impact in the lives of the children she taught. Faith, family, and teaching was the foundation of who Carol was and everyone who had the chance to meet her will remember her kind soul, warm heart, and huge smile that lit up the room.
Mike and Carol shared 47 years of marriage, 3 children, Jeremy (Kelly), Shannon (Matt) and Kylee (Alex) and 9 grandchildren, JJ, Madelyn, Will, Braeden, Lucas, Leo, Lauren, Rowan & Ethan. She was the type of wife, mother and grandma who was always there to lend a listening ear, showed patience and grace and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Carol was an avid gardener and had a knack for creating the most beautiful garden of flowers. They were so beautiful; strangers would often stop to comment on their beauty. She had an amazing 69 years on this earth and will continue to flourish in heaven as God called her home to watch over us all.
